Hi My Sweets!
The first few days of the week have quickly slipped by without my having time to post. Aside from the usual busy work day and the usual gym sessions, there’s not too much to report. My weekend is another story all together though. It was a blast!
It all started with Friday night’s dinner at Rob’s brother’s pizzeria. This girl had a salad with grilled chicken, but I might have sampled a bite or two of pizza. 🙂
Saturday was about all things PUMPKIN!
The Pumpkin Madness began when I found this at the store…
I was so excited that I almost did a happy dance right there in the middle of the dairy aisle! I’m pretty cheap when it comes to spending my calories on extras that I really don’t need. This is only 15 calories per tablespoon. I think I can swing that, don’t you? 😉 By the time I made it home from the store I wasn’t in the mood for coffee, but you better bet that I opened it up just to take a quick whiff of the pumpkin spice scent. YUM! I couldn’t wait to try it out! It was the first thing that I thought about when I woke up on Sunday morning. Coffee was quickly brewed and I savored every sip with a smile on my face. 🙂
Pumpkin Madness continued when Rob announced that we would be going pumpkin picking together. This is our 3rd Halloween together, but only the 1st time that we actually got pumpkins together. I’m a sentimental sap, so 2012 will go down in the books as a special pumpkin picking year for me. It apparently also meant that I’d have to wear a pumpkin colored shirt to go picking pumpkins in. (Man, say that 5 times fast!)
Yes, I am a true dork. I also wear some sort of pink on Valentine’s Day and something with red for Christmas. It makes me happy, so nothing else matters in my mind. Everyone else will just have to deal with it. 😉
As soon as we got home I put the pumpkins on our front steps. Can you guess which one is mine?
If you guessed the baby one, you’re WRONG! Rob decided he wanted the baby one. LOL. He really is a goofball sometimes. I love him! His pumpkin is now on our mantle. It makes me smile every time I walk into the tv room. Honestly, it’s the size of a large orange. I’ll have to take another picture for comparison and post another time.
That’s the end of our Pumpkin Madness, so far anyway, but our weekend didn’t end there! Saturday night we had a great dinner at Ginza with Rob’s sister and brother-in-law.
We always have a good dinner there and I had my usual (seaweed salad, tuna roll w/ brown rice & 1 order of tuna sashimi). Such a creature of habit I am. 🙂 The rest of the group order enough to feed an army. I think our waiter thought they were kidding, especially after they quickly devoured the first dessert (tempura fried oreos) and requested a second!
After rolling them out of there giving the waiter something to laugh about the rest of the night, we drove home to relax and watch whatever movies we could find on tv. Nothing good seemed to be on and I quickly drifted to sleep out of boredom.
Sunday, I went to the movies with Tricia, Rob’s best friend’s sister who I mentioned in my last vlog. We both like scary movies so we decided on seeing Sinister.
We were both jumpy after the movie and truly glad that each of our guys would be home that evening so that we wouldn’t have to sleep alone. At least she has a dog to keep her company when her fiance isn’t home. Her dog is a yorkie named Martini. So cute! I, on the other hand, am left to my own thoughts when Rob is away. Not always a good thing. LOL.
Anyway, that was my weekend in a nutshell. I hope yours was just as nice and that this week keeps on moving along so we can enjoy another weekend all over again.
